Mass Insight Education (MIE) is a national non-profit organization that designs and implements strategies to transform public schools into high-performance organizations and close achievement gaps. Since its founding in 1997, MIE has been at the national forefront of education reform. Our work to expand access to Advanced Placement math, science and English courses has propelled thousands of students into more rigorous high school coursework – and has led to a significant increase in college success. With a focus on district transformation, MIE has helped turn around chronically underperforming schools and introduced new models to drive and sustain bold reforms in some of the country's most troubled urban districts. Current work is centered on developing a network of College Success Communities in Massachusetts and nationally – high school-driven, community-based clusters of schools that are vertically integrated across our three pillars of system transformation: academic, organizational and community strategies.
