Americans for Informed Democracy is a national youth-run network taking action to demand a more peaceful, healthy, just and sustainable world. We are seeking Global Citizenship Fellows, who will play a key role in building, strengthening and promoting AIDemocracy's innovative global leadership programs for high school and college students. This is an amazing opportunity for a budding leader who wants to expand his/her skills around global issues, leadership development and training. This is a year-long, virtual, volunteer position with a commitment of 3-5 hours/week.
Who we are: Americans for Informed Democracy (AIDemocracy)'s vision is that every young person in the United States exercises their power to bring about a peaceful, healthy, just and sustainable world. Our mission is to educate, cultivate and mobilize a network of young people to take informed action around our individual and collective roles as global citizens. We are the only national youth network that takes a comprehensive approach to global issues, and we place equal emphasis on empowering young leaders and inspiring action to build a better world.
Responsibilities: The Global Citizenship Fellow will play a key role building our cutting-edge curriculum and leadership in this space. Specific responsibilities will include:
Thought leadership.
Curriculum development.
Program development.
We will recruit multiple Fellows, and most likely divide these responsibilities up between the group. Applicants should indicate whether they have an interest in all or some of the functions above.
The Details: This is a virtual, volunteer position. Fellows will contribute approximately 3-5 hours/week through July 2013.
Skills and Qualifications Needed: This is an exciting position for a proven young leader who wants to take his/her skills to the next level. Applicants should be comfortable with discussing global issues, and have an interest in either leadership developing or global education. The biggest thing we're looking for are people who are excited, want to learn, believe in our mission, and can make this commitment.
