Role Description
Based in the Headquarters in Philadelphia City Centre, the Strategy & Operations Intern will report directly to the Chief Strategy & Operations Officer who is accountable for ensuring the strategic and operational goals of the organization are met.
In addition to supporting the CEO in setting the future strategic direction for the organization and determining growth strategy.
The Strategy & Operations Intern will be responsible for:
- Supporting the CSOO in defining and monitoring the Organization Goals and strategic direction
- Support the CSOO in developing innovative initiatives to drive organizational success
- Support the VP of Operations, as required, in projects associated with the management of the local Chapter operations
- Support the Senior Program Manager in creating consistent Program materials, process and standards across all local Chapters
- Support Senior Program Manager in research projects to support fundraising
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required. Studying for Masters Degree in a related field preferred.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook).
- Sales Force experience a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; the successful applicant will be comfortable working in an office setting with Executive level staff.
- Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the inner-workings of BOMF.
- High energy, goal-oriented team player.
- Passion for the organization and the members we serve.
- Desire to attend weekend program events, as appropriate.
- Ability to manage time responsibly.
- A proactive, assertive and hands-on individual who is self-motivated; requires limited direction.
Time Commitment & Compensation
BoMF is seeking an intern that can work approximately 20-40 hours per week – preferably long term but minimum commitment of 6 months.
Flexibilty on that commitment will be considered for the right candidate; please include available time in application.
This is an unpaid internship however successful interns will be encouraged to apply for any open suitable positions within the BoMF Headquarters should they wish to do so.
