The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nation on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. We're the innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. You will play a crucial role in efforts to improve living conditions for those surviving on less than $1 a day.

Position: International Affairs Intern

About the Internship:

As a rapidly growing organization roles and responsibilities change frequently but the following are likely assignments.

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring and training national volunteers. The majority of internship will be spent posting online volunteer openings in key Congressional Districts.
  • Serve as a "go-to" for getting done various tasks and assignments as needed.
  • Assist with fundraising (1-2 days)
  • Write material for the newsletter, blog and other publications.
  • The intern will be required to complete 260-360 hours and will have flexibility in setting their schedule for the course of the internship. All work will be done at the office, which is located in Downtown Seattle.
