The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation (AALDC) is a nonprofit organization devoted to economic development, historic preservation, and cultural enrichment in the greater Atlantic Avenue area. The AALDC was formed in 1974 to provide support to Atlantic Avenue merchants and the surrounding community. We are looking for interns to organize/update our database, website and communications. AALDC Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Director and Board, will assist in setting up an efficient executive office and will be able to engage in an open dialogue about organizational enhancements/community and merchant outreach.
An ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, computer literate (PC) and possess proficient organizational skills. An interest in economic development/community and cultural enrichment is a plus. Hours/Schedule will be determined by the Executive Director and candidate to fit both parties' needs.
