NYRP restored and now operates New Leaf, a fine-dining establishment located in Fort Tryon Park. All net proceeds from New Leaf support NYRP.

We are currently seeking a Business-to-Business (B2B) Marketing Intern for a wide range of marketing activities for the restaurant, mainly involving research, development and implementation of a robust B2B program. This includes on-site marketing material and outreach to, and relationship-building with, commercial and residential buildings, local businesses and organizations.

Nestled in Manhattan's historic Fort Tyron Park, the New Leaf Restaurant & Bar offers a stylish and unforgettable dining experience in a forest setting. Drawing inspiration from local green markets, upstate New York farms, New York City's community gardens and the New Leaf's very own herb garden, Executive Chef Scott Campbell creates a constantly changing and imaginative modern American menu featuring seasonal dishes.

Qualified intern must commit to working 4-6 hours a week, or, if desired, the minimum number of hours required for earning school credit. He/she will work primarily out of NYRP's main office. Light travel to New Leaf will also be expected.

Intern duties include:

  • Research local businesses and organizations that are appropriate for partnership in drawing local Manhattanites by referral and promotional deals
  • Help design a referral program with select local businesses, including concierge services at residential and commercial building, and real estate offices in uptown Manhattan
  • Connect with, and maintain, relationships with local businesses in the area
  • Pitch discounts, and cross-promotional and reward programs to local organizations
  • Help measure effectiveness of these programs and relationships
  • Assist in the drafting of marketing and publicity collateral
  • Perform administrative tasks as asked by the marketing team
  • Light travel in Manhattan may be required

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in college, have a college-level degree and/or 1 year of professional marketing/PR experience
  • Extremely organized and detailed-oriented
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and versatile
  • Creativity and initiative to seek out new approaches and contacts
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and have basic graphic design ability
