Net Impact is looking for a bright, enthusiastic recent graduate or current student to help us change the world through business as a Net Impact Program Fellow.

We are a global nonprofit organization that helps individuals use their careers to tackle the world's toughest challenges. Net Impact members are current and emerging leaders in corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, international development, and environmental sustainability who are actively working to improve the world.

What you'll do as a Net Impact Program Fellow…

Net Impact Fellows don't fetch coffee – they're an integrated member of the team, at any given time working directly with staff, members, sponsors, and the general public. The Program Fellow role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player to develop professional skills and gain exposure to nonprofit management and socially responsible business.

About the Position
The Development Fellow will play a pivotal role in Net Impact's success, helping us build strong corporate partnerships and develop new funding sources. The Fellow will work closely with the rest of the Development Team on projects that include corporate and foundation prospecting and stewardship, communications, research, and analysis. Additional key responsibilities will be crafted throughout the course of the fellowship with consideration for his or her skills and interests, as well as organizational needs that may arise.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Research, track, and analyze prospective donors/funders
  • Work with Development team members to create customized presentations, proposals, and other communications for funders and prospects
  • Assist with funder stewardship, including cultivation of current funders, grant reporting, and staff prioritization of Development metrics
  • Support various other needs / opportunities at our organization, depending on the individual's interests and abilities

Desired Qualifications

  • Recent college graduate preferred
  • Proven multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analysis and research skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Computer-proficiency, particularly MS Office. Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CRM, and other web experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently and creatively
  • Flexible, positive, and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Enthusiastic commitment to Net Impact's mission

Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours a week)

Duration: 3-6 months, starting ASAP

Location: Downtown San Francisco, CA USA

Compensation: Unpaid, free professional membership to Net Impact and transportation reimbursement included.
