About Catalyst

Catalyst's Global Member Services (GMS) Department offers a strategic consulting practice that stems from decades of Catalyst work to advance women in business and the professions. We work with companies to diagnose their workplace environment, develop strategies for comprehensive change initiatives, and plan and guide companies on strategic implementation of key inclusion activities like sponsorship and work life effectiveness. As part the GMS role within Catalyst, we build on knowledge gained with individual clients to drive impact into all our member organizations by determining key content and developing webinars, toolkits and other publications for our members and for Catalyst partner organizations (like Catalyst Member Service: Vital Signs) and by leading internal initiatives (like Member Impact Metrics and the Insight Learning Loop).

Catalyst is looking for an undergraduate or graduate student seeking credit for an unpaid internship in its Global Member Services Department.

  • The opportunity to apply academic learning on diversity and workforce management to real-world problems by conducting literature reviews, creating annotated bibliographies, citing document sources and/or developing white papers. Likely topics include but are not limited to: Non-profit impact metrics, Diversity and innovation, Talent management as it impacts a diverse workforce, Cross-cultural competencies and Culture change practices.
  • Conducting reviews of best practices at leading organizations with possible opportunities to conduct telephone interviews with company representatives and write diversity and inclusion practice descriptions.
  • Department support as needed.
  • Exposure to Catalyst more broadly, through brownbag lectures and other organization-wide activities.

Interns will work directly with the full GMS team, including Senior Associates through to Vice Presidents, who will supervise, train, and observe their work efforts and tasks.
