Currently we are accepting applications for 2013 start dates for a venture length of 2-8 months. Please note exact start dates and lengths are flexible to your needs.

We are looking for bright young minds who are passionate and qualified to work in the exciting field of human rights and law. These positions provide a unique opportunity for you to help protect the human rights of disadvantaged communities by making strategic and sustainable contributions to a Law or International Development organization in South Africa... one of the most interesting proactive and comprehensive countries for the advancement of human rights. Fields of specialty include education reform, womens rights, orphaned and vulnerable chidlren, refugees, anti-human traffiking, economic rights and more.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assistance in policy design and review
  • Assistance in legislative review
  • Conducting research on current human rights issues, often resulting in work that can be used as a legal writing sample or more
  • Coorespondence with media and network
  • Assistance in processing reported cases of human rights violations, etc.

Qualifications request include:

  • Prefered enrollment in Law School (Second year or higher)
  • English communication skills (written and oral)

These positions are strategically designed by epiventure, in order to ensure that your work contributes to the long-term development of the local communities of South Africa, by helping them to develop more strategic strategies and goals that will boost their awareness and take their work to the next level.

Our application process is designed to match your character, skills and goals with the best venture opportunity.

The first step is to drop us an email or fill out our online inquiry form!.

The second step is that we will have a chat to discuss your venture to Cape Town! Additionally we require the following:

  • a $150 processing fee, which will be counted towards your final balance. Please note that this fee is requested in order to cover the administrative costs associated with processing your application.
  • two contactable references
  • your resume/C.V.

The third step is to choose and secure your venture. Please note that we may require further information, documentation or interviews, if requested by the organization, company or other entity that you will be placed with. Upon agreement, we require the payment of the programme fee of $875. After receipt of this payment you will receive your epiventure programme packet, in order to prepare you for your venture.

The fourth and final step is to arrive in Cape Town, South Africa… and START YOUR VENTURE!
