CODEPINK is offering an internship position in Los Angeles to begin immediately.
This position wlll take a strong lead in organizing our One Billion Rising Campaign. On 2.14.13, CODEPINK is joining V-Day to demand an end to rape and gender violence.A staggering number of women around the world will experience rape or other violence in their lifetimes. The UN Secretary General says 1 out of every 3. That is over one billion women. Imagine One Billion Women, and the men who love them, rising together to end the violence! We are inviting people to actively participate in the Campaign by coming out to Strike, Dance and Rise with us on 2/14/2013, and at minimum, add their names to the growing list of One Billion Rising to call for an end of violence against women. The vision is to have every neighborhood participating!
You will help us continue to work on ending violence, assault weapons, divest from war campaign and stop Drones campaign.
- Organize local actions.
- Learn how to be an organizer by doing.
- Fundraising support.
- Research and writing.
Other interns are now running big national anti-war organizations. CODEPINK is a great place to get your organizing and activism chops.It's a chance to take on leadership and learn lots of new skills.
Skills needed: knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic social media tools, decent writing and editing, comfort talking with new people, passion for ending war.
