Back on My Feet is looking for a Marketing and Communications intern to assist with national communications, events, campaigns, social media and fundraising.
Back on My Feet is a 501c3 Back on My Feet (BoMF) is a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.
Marketing and Communications Internship Description:
The Back on My Feet Marketing and Communications Intern (unpaid) will work alongside the Vice President of Communications and Corporate Relations and the Manager of Marketing and Communications to assist in the day to day operations of the department.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the communication and marketing planning and campaign execution
- Research new trends and best practices in marketing, fundraising, the running community and nonprofits
- Create documents and processes to support fundraising efforts
- Distribute Back on My Feet gear and branded items to supporters raising money for Back on My Feet
- Assist with social media planning, writing and posting
- Develop ideas to keep supporters engaged
- Write articles for newsletter
- Collect quotes and testimonials from partners, supporters, volunteers and Members
- Assist with merchandise fulfillment and print-on-demand program
Qualifications:
- Communications, marketing or related course of study
- Interest in nonprofit management
- Interest in marketing and fundraising, experience a plus
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills required: Internet Research, Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to use personal laptop for internship work
