The Marketing & Development Interns will work with the Director of Development & External Affairs on key elements of a developing comprehensive Marketing and Development Plans as well as critical current projects. The Interns will have the opportunity to learn about CCE, best practices (and challenges) in nonprofit management and the field of education while contributing to the organization's ability to achieve its strategic goals.
The interns will be responsible for a variety of activities in the following areas:
Qualifications
The ideal candidates for the positions of Marketing & Development Intern should have the following qualifications:
Ø Graduate or top undergraduate student in education, public policy, evaluation, non-profit management, marketing or relevant field
Ø Knowledge about and interest in education, development or marketing
Ø Strong writing and research skills
Ø Strong analytical and communication skills
Ø Demonstrated commitment to equity in public education
Ø Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and complete projects by deadline
Ø Microsoft office skills required

Dates: January 2013 through May 2013 (negotiable – extension into a summer internship is possible)
Hours: Approximately 8-12 hours per week (negotiable)
Compensation: There is a $250-$500 stipend per semester for school year internships at CCE (determined by schedule). The stipend may be applied to work study. Depending on school requirements, it may also be possible to earn course credit.
