We are a unique family inn, farm, retreat, learning and research center. We are looking for interns to work with us focusing on conflict resolution, creativity, and studying the psychology of religion. We would like to draw people that have skills, and would like to grow their skills in the areas of academic writing and editing, public relations, creativity, psychology, and religion.
The internship project will have three components, all of which will be part of daily activities. That being said, a lot of this work will be independent and you will be called upon to manage your time and these tasks as makes sense for both of us. The components are:
1. Preparing research publications studying the role of morality within psychology and the utility of using creativity as a measure for studying the person. Currently we are preparing two different books, one creating a manual of psychological testing that uses creativity and a second that is a collection of clinical case studies.
2. Being part of the team at the center, leading tour of the art exhibits, facilitating workshops, doing pr, and outreach.
3. An independent but related research project that we will decide upon together and that you will present to us at the end of the summer.
There are also some opportunities for additional payed work in special events and at the restaurant at the Wilburton Inn. Vermont is wonderful in the summer and there will be plenty time for fun and there will be great people around.
We are advancing new theories that offer to significantly improve concepts of morality, education, and psychology. We want to understand the processes that shape our common experiences. This sounds big because it is big and we need your help. We are looking for interns for a period of at least two months.
Room and local board is provided. Interns will live on site of the Wilburton Inn, but are also welcome to spend time on our nearby organic farm. We would love to hear from you so let us know about you, your interests and availability.
