IDEA is seeking applications to intern alongside IDEA staff to help support and sustain the IDEA Library - a collaborative project to curate the highest quality resources that support meaningful learning and help build the will for change.
IDEA surveys the educational landscape to showcase the highest quality resources and educational programs that support meaningful learning, community development, and efforts to create systemic change. We call this process "curation." On an ongoing basis, we identify, evaluate, and present top quality resources to educators, youth, parents, education decision-makers, policy-makers, and the broad public.
Curation Interns assist in identifying and showcasing the "bright spots" in innovative educational practice, policy, and assessment. By means of the curation process interns can expect to gain a broader understanding of the educational landscape, further familiarize themselves with IDEA's values and curation criteria, learn some skills in web-based development and design, work in a professional mentor-supported environment, contribute to an esteemed database of education-focused resources, and, upon completion of the internship, a letter documenting the skills gained and contributions made.
We hope that you or someone you know will be interested in interning with IDEA. Read more about and apply for interning with IDEA here, and please pass this opportunity on to your networks.
IDEA uses 2.0 technology to work across the U.S. Interns must be comfortable with technology and be able to learn and contribute from any location and work independently from home.
