ProgressOhio is currently accepting applicants for our Spring, Summer, and Fall 2013 Internship Programs.
ProgressOhio is a multi-issue non-profit dedicated to creating a progressive change in Ohio. We specialize in educating Ohioans through online work and earned media, but also partner with other organizations on research and field operations. Some of the many issues we have recently worked on include healthcare, voting rights, illegal gun trafficking, tax fairness and animal welfare. If you are serious about making social change or looking towards a career in the non-profit, politics or communications, this may be the right opportunity for you.
We are willing to consider students with a range of background and skills. Candidates with excellent written communication skills, familiarty with researching public records or graphic design skills are especially encouraged to apply. Due to the nature of our partners and programs, prospective interns must be tolerant of diversity and able to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
This position is unpaid, but we will compensate for parking. We are very successful in working with universities to ensure you receive credit for your work. Internship hours and length are flexible, in accordance with your department's guidelines. Some remote working is possible, but at least 2/3rds of work must occur during normal business hours at our office in downtown Columbus.
