About the Brain Sciences Foundation:
The Brain Sciences Foundation (BSF) is a not-for profit private multidisciplinary research foundation dedicated to developing novel paradigms that enable the study of mind and brain and ultimately the treatment of neurological disorders. BSF aims to initiate exchange between a wide range of scientific disciplines concerned with the understanding of brain function and dysfunction. Our goal is to establish a vibrant community of expert scientists, gathered in the Brain Sciences Foundation Fellowship, to study the origins of human cognition and intelligence and conduct revolutionary research to be materialized into new treatment strategies for neurological disorders. BSF works closely with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oxford University, Boston University, and many other top academic institutions around the world. The Brain Sciences Foundation participates in multi-million dollar projects researching new early detection, diagnostic technologies, and treatment strategies for neurological disorders including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and Autism. BSF recently published an academic journal called The Brain Sciences Journal (BSJ) that focuses on multidisciplinary publications in all fields of cognitive sciences.
The intern will spearhead BSF's PR activities and manage online presence including social network activity. Interns should work for the length of a semester or summer, dedicating 10-20 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship, with the potential to advance to a paid position. Internship can be virtual or location based out of Providence, RI.
