Global-Change.Org has recently launched five innovative projects. We are seeking Executive Directors who are interested in building and manage these projects with minimal supervision. Please see our website www.global-change.org for project details.
Qualified applicants should have the following skills & qualifications:
-Highly motivated and passionate about the project, personally driven to make an impact on people's lives
-Some professional work experience or advanced degree
-Technical skills required for management (computers, spreadsheets, online network, verbal and written communication)
-Comfortable in a start-up environment
-Available to work 10 hours per week for the project (ie we find that people who are job hunting or employed full time generally do not have the bandwidth required for a leadership role).
We currently have teams in place and basic infrastucture to grow the projects. However, we are seeking entrepreneurial leaders who are excited about the opportunity to build a national organization from a small group of a few team members.
Please note that most of what is entailed in this job is organizing and motivating volunteers to form a network to carry out the projects. It seems simple, but generally people are distracted and apathetic. To successfully carry out this role you have to have courage, strong sense of self-confidence, belief in yourself and not be easily discouraged by the comings and goings of less committed people.
Please note that this is an UNPAID POSITION at this time. Global Change Project does not have a physical location, all work is done virtually at this juncture, though we plan to initiate locally based operations for our project in February 2013.
