Content Internship
The Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL) is looking for a highly-motivated college student or recent graduate dedicated to sustainable living practices to help generate unique web content. About CELL
Are you ready to go beyond fetching coffee and filing papers? We want you to do REAL work, and have a REAL impact! CELL's Virtual Internship Program (VIP) is a unique, hands-on nonprofit training program designed to introduce college students to CELL, the principles of sustainability, and nonprofits. As a Virtual Intern, you will be able to take your passion for sustainability and your skills to do great things from anywhere! We will teach you the skills and give you the tools. Working with a team of passionate young leaders, you will change the world.
Sustainability through life, work, and community
CELL is a nonprofit educational organization inspiring students (our future leaders) to bring creative, systemic solutions and environmental stewardship to their individual lives and leadership positions. It is often assumed that ecological sustainability and business are mutually exclusive. VIP was designed to demonstrate that this is not the case. As a Virtual Intern, you will learn the principles of ecological sustainability as it applies to your life, your work, and your community.
Virtual work, real impact
The other component of VIP is to provide young leaders with real-world, practical business experience. Too often, interns are overlooked and undervalued. Our goal is to give you the tools and skills necessary to succeed in any business: nonprofit, profit, or otherwise.

Projects and Tasks
- Maintain CELL's blog presence
- Recruit and manage a volunteer blogger team
- Generate video content
- Create a monthly e-newsletter
Qualifications
- A passion for sustainability
- Open-minded, flexible, team player
- Strong organizational and initiative skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proven research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iWorks, OpenOffice, or Google Docs
- Basic understanding of HTML a plus
- CSS knowledge a plus
- Video editing experience a plus
- Must be enrolled in, or a graduate of, an accredited four-year college or university
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
