The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nation on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. We're the innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. You will play a crucial role in efforts to improve living conditions for those surviving on less than $1 a day.

Position: SEO Intern

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce, analyze and maintain SEO-rich content for The Borgen Project
  • Develop and maintain keyword and metadescription lists
  • Work closely with the social media team to execute on these SEO initiatives, as well as partnering closely with the President to ensure SEO goals align
  • Establish and evolve SEO guidelines for copywriting, product research and marketing teams
  • Ability to effectively use SEO tools and reports to determine keyword opportunities, keyword rankings, % of search volume captured, web traffic, etc.
  • Periodically review and analyze our brands' websites and propose revisions or new content
  • Track initiatives of key competitors and recommend adjustments in SEO strategy when applicable
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Stay current on SEO and web tactics and trends
  • Develop and build new SEO content strategies as the landscape evolves
  • The intern will be required to complete 260-360 hours and will have flexibility in setting their schedule for the course of the internship. All work will be done at the office, which is located in Downtown Seattle.
