As a Net Impact Fellow, you not only get a chance to make an impact on organizational strategy and day-to-day operations, you also get immediate access to a growing movement of professionals who are creating positive environmental and social change. In addition, Fellows participate in a formal professional development program and will be mentored and managed by a seasoned nonprofit professional who takes your goals seriously.
We're a fun group who work hard and play hard. While we have high professional expectations, we love to blow off steam together in the office and after work. We've been known to throw waffle breakfast hoe-downs, Friday wine-downs, and Pi(e) day celebrations. We're looking for Fellows who want to take their work experience to the next level, and have fun doing it.
What you'll do as Net Impact Fall Content Fellow…
Conference Content Support (70% time)
The highly acclaimed Net Impact Conference is our organization's flagship event, bringing together nearly 3,000 students and professionals and 350 expert speakers in sustainability, corporate responsibility, social innovation, and more.
Reporting to the Content Development Manager and working closely with the extended conference team, the Content Fellow plays an important role in developing an exceptional conference program and ensuring a seamless speaker experience. The position is a great opportunity for a talented, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player to develop professional skills and gain exposure to nonprofit management, event planning, and trends in fields like responsible business, international development, clean tech, and much more.
The Fall Content Fellow will attend the 2013 Net Impact Conference in Silicon Valley, CA on October 24-26.
Specific responsibilities include:
Issues in Depth Content Support (30% time)
Issues in Depth is Net Impact's expert-led webinar series covering trending social and environmental impact topics across sectors. It offers members an insider's perspective on best practices, tools, and how-to's to inspire and equip their impact careers.
Reporting to the Content Development Manager, the Content Fellow will support the design and execution of this important member program. Depending on the fellow's interests, the role could involve time for more extensive projects around data analysis and/or program marketing.
