Job Role:
Atma requires a Web design Volunteer to support the Marketing Manager and assist in putting together a design that will help execute the Marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
A web design volunteer will be responsible for the design, layout and coding of a website. He/she will be involved with the technical and graphical aspects of the website - how the site works and how it looks.
Involvement could also include the maintenance and update of an existing site. The responsibilities would mainly involve:
- Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet requirements
- Test the website and identify any technical problems
- Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines.
In order to design the website, the web design volunteer will:
- Establish the purpose of the website based upon its target audience
- Identify the type of content the site will host
- Determine any functionality that the site must support like financial transactions, sending applications, etc.
- Provide input on layout, colours and styles.
