By teaming up with relocation companies across the country, Move For Hunger is creating one of the nation's largest year-round service programs. Our movers offer to pick up the unwanted, non-perishable food items from those who are moving and deliver it to their local food banks.
In 3 years, Move For Hunger has partnered with over 1,500 relocation professionals in 44 states. Together we have delivered more than 830,000 lbs of food to those in need.
Position Summary: Move For Hunger, is seeking a Public Relations intern. We see our interns as a core part of the Move For Hunger team and if selected, you will work alongside the PR and Events departments as well as fellow students behind the scenes of a growing non-profit organization. The PR intern will work closely with the PR and marketing department to create press releases and blog posts, coordinate media campaigns as well as assist with events and general tasks for the organization.
College credit is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong research and critical thinking skills
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated approach to work
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively in a high energy, startup environment
- Team-oriented approach to work
- An interest in technology, digital media, and social media/web 2.0
- Fluent in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
PR agency /Media relations experience
Proficient with both Mac and PCs
Familiarity with HTML / CSS / Web Design a plus
