Leave UR Mark has an opportunity for pre-medical and healthcare students, graduates, and professionals to intern at an NGO that enhances public and community health programs by reaching out to socially and economically underprivileged sections of society both in rural and urban India. Through preventitive, corrective, and school health programs, interns will get a chance to get hands on experience working with children and young adults.

- Community Health
- Tobacco Awareness
- Medical Camps
- Public Health Dentistry Programs
- Health Program for Children living with HIV
- Understanding and building awareness about facial deformities (cleft lip and palate, facial palsy, craniofacial anamolies, and more)
For School Health Projects Interns Will Get Involved In:
- Health appraisal of school children and school personnel
- Co-operation with the home and the community
- Healthful school environment
- Prevention of communicable diseases
- Nutritional services
- First aid and emergency care
- Psychological services
- Use of school health records
- Remedial measures and follow up
- Health instruction
This is a great opportunity to get international healthcare experience and do something meaningful while exploring India's fascinating culture.
Interns and volunteers are given specific areas of responsibility and as broad a range of experiences as possible
Duration: 4 weeks to 4 months
Leave UR Mark charges a $575 placement fee to help organize your trip to India, pick you up from the airport, and guarantee your position. Housing, Food, and In-Country support are available for an additional cost. Our interns love staying in our beautiful apartment in Bangalore. Interns also have evenings and weekends free to particpate in cultural activities and local travel.
