Responsibilities:
Assists Events Manager and Development department in raising funds and awareness through the Unplugged Gala by:
- Making follow-up phone calls and initial auction solicitations
- Help identify new museum in-kind contributors
- Soliciting, recording and acknowledging in-kind contributions
- Assisting with kickoff event set-up and planning
- Picks up of items/errands within Rhode Island
- Providing additional assistance to the Events Manager and Development department as needed
Skills needed:
- Knowledge of Word and Excel; experience with or ability to learn FileMaker
- Excellent attention to detail, meticulous
- Strong organizational, verbal and written skills
- Pleasant, professional phone manner
- Able to take direction; capable and willing to take initiative and work with others
- Dependable, reliable and able to work independently
- Flexible and creative

Commitment Required: 6 - 10 hours per week, January through April
