Wingspan Arts, a provider of innovative, high-quality arts education programs for school-aged children is seeking a highly professional Intern who will report to the Business & Education Program Departments. The candidate should be prepared to be a part of a successful and rapidly growing arts education organization. Applicants should have background or interest in arts administration, education, and/or the performing arts and should currently be enrolled in a valid educational program working toward a degree or certification. Must be organized, reliable, prompt, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Must also possess sharp grammar and proofreading skills, have high energy, good follow-through and outstanding people skills. Strong computer skills and experience with Mac, Office Suite, and FileMaker a plus.
Some daily tasks include:
Wingspan Arts is open Monday – Friday, 10am to 6pm. A commitment of approximately 20-25 hours a week is preferred. Specific schedule is flexible, but will be set with hired intern prior to internship start and is expected to remain consistent.
This internship is unpaid, however a travel stipend is provided and class credit can be arranged.
Ideal start date of January 7, 2013. Length of internship is negotiable.
